Lisa Brophy BEd.,Dip FP

Lisa’s background is in teaching and Financial Planning. In April 2010 Lisa retired from her financial planning practice, after 23 years in the financial services industry, to concentrate on expanding the retirement lifestyle program in Australia.

Through her work as a Financial Planner, Lisa began to see that some clients, despite having sufficient finances, were not finding their lives in retirement happy and fulfilling. In 2000, thanks to the internet, Lisa and colleagues discovered Dr Roadburg’s program and online workshop called Re-tire With a Dash. Having researched other programs being offered in the market place, they knew that Re-tire With A Dash was not only different but superior due to its focus on the individual and his or her particular needs. In 2002, Second Career Program Australia (SCPA) was established and workshops have been presented to Australian pre and post retirees including a national tour in conjunction with a large financial planning group.

In early 2011 the Life After Work - The Secret To Retirement Happiness program was launched.

Dr Alan Roadburg - Author of "Life after Work - The Secret To Retirement Happiness"

Dr Alan Roadburg holds a Ph.D in Sociology from the University of Edinburgh and is a leading authority on retirement lifestyle education.

He has hosted hundreds of retirement lifestyle workshops with private and public sector employees and delivers frequent keynote addresses. His publications include several books, including Re-tire With a Dash and The Road Map to Retirement Happiness. He is currently working on his Life After Work series, including Life After Policing, Life After Teaching and Life After Medicine.
